I used a cordless electric screwdriver fitted with a chuck for holding drill bits up to 6mm. As the rotational speed is quite slow there is no problem with melting the plastic. The speed is probably not much faster than using a hand brace. The only down side is having to keep on recharging the screwdriver - but no blisters!
