I would estimate that the new kit corrects 5% to 10% of the things that need to be modified to bring the Titanic to her correct (or as nearly as can be achieved with this kit) configuration.
You indeed could correct all the mistakes without getting the new model. They've just corrected a few for you.

: I recently purchased a Minicraft titanic model I started a bit of work on it, but stopped when I read about the retooled model. Are the changes great enough that it would be worth it to purchase a new retooled version? Also,how much will the new model cost and when would it be availible? Is there anyway I could correct the model mistakes on my own without having to get a whole new model?
